WHO AM I

Postby munch » Mon Jul 17, 2006 7:37 pm

Hi,
My name is Valerie and I bought a TD this year from a man on
one of the islands here in Washington. He said he only
had it about a year and that he got it from...well he cant
remember. He did have the title that the man gave him
and it was from 1973 owned by a gentleman named Steven Clark
from Lawndale California.
I guess he refurbed it and it was supposedly made in the 1940's.
I would really like to know where "munch" came from, if he was
made or manufactured.
If anyone has any idea how to go about helping me
please let me know.
I did call Steven Clark but have yet to hear back from him.
Thanks in advance
Valerie

Valerie, you have posted all of the pictures in your album at thumbnail sizes...have you got anything larger(640x480) that we can look at to get some detail......

Boy, THAT'S a new twist. We usually have to beg people to make their pictures smaller!!!!

By the way, Happy New Trailer. :P :wine party:
Chris :D

The tension between what is good enough and what is beyond that creates the space for character to become our work.

Val, we prefer that pics be around 640x480 pixels and saved at 72dpi(lo-res)...if you need a program to resize with and are using Windows XP click here scroll down to "image resizer" and install...this will give your mouse, right click to resize functionality, that will resize any pic on your PC...

If you can't use that, then click here download and install the irfanview .exe file...there is a tutorial included in the link...after you have your pics properly resized, read "help with photos" at the top this page for full instructions..........

YEah IM a DOER not a Dreamer anymore, I never thought it would be so fun, i had my doubts.

First thing i did when i got it was get him new shoes and a new mattress. Very comfy.

TD are a strange addiction kinda like my corgi addiction, the people are nuts for the things they love. :?

Hello Valerie,

Well good and bad news. I've seen that teardrop. It's one of those that you don't forget. If I remember right, it was a 'home built' originally. Then was completely rebuilt. I'll have to do some local investigating.

You going to try and make it down to the redwoods next week? Just below Eureka, CA right off the 101.

Have a good day.

As soon as I get my other computer back, I'll do some emailing with the picture attached and see what I can come up with, besides looking in some back directories that I have.

Remember 'Teardrop Time'.......Take your time, you don't have to have it finished NOW.

Hey Gage thanks,
Im glad someones seen it, At least were getting closer. I knew it was born in the 40's and rebuilt in 73 but that was really all that he could tell me,

Sorry im not going to be at the Redwoods, Im new to this and had other plans, I am however going to be at the Mt Baker Vintage Trailer Rally thats coming up in September, are you aware of that one and would you be going.

Could you tell me how you have seen this trailer before and what part was the bad news ? :)

Thanks sooooooooooo much.

I look forward to hearing more.

Valerie,

The Mt Baker Trailer event is on August 18-20. Didn't want you to wait until September and be the only one there. There will be several of us teardroppers among the many fine looking vintage trailers that will be attending.
Contact Pat Ewing, [email protected] for any information you might need.

See you there,

Jack
