The one in the picture is supposedly from GA.

BillyL, Where is the maiden voyage taking you? I'm leaving Sunday for a week near Knoxville TN. We'll see if I can take a whole week of it or if I wimp out at the local motel instead.

Let me know where you stay in TN. WE are planning a trip down there.

Stayed at the Cross-Eyed Cricket on the northern edge of Lenoir City TN.
Nice and peaceful.
I got there Sunday evening and then went 4x4 riding on Monday and Tuesday followed by a conference Wednesday thru Saturday. It's 535 miles from my door in Germantown to there.
Pictures I took at the campground are on the first page of this album
Campground clean, everything worked. Had the pool and the little lake. Shady so the high temps not a problem. Nice spot over on the TVA land by the nearby dam as well. Didn't have electric hookup but had a nice little sandy beach.

RKH, dang wished I been here to read this sooner. I live about 20 min from Cross eyed cricket!! I would've brought my tear down there. The TVA dam you speak of is Melton Hill. Great fishing. I been here all 32 yrs. of my life. Sorry I didn't read this sooner. :(

In hindsight, I think I might have stayed at the Melton Hall Dam area but by the time I knew it was there, I had already paid at Cross-Eyed Cricket for the whole week.
For my purposes, the only advantage of CEC was the 110 hookup the first couple of nights. Their stocked pond was closed to fishing anyway.
I hit the area blind with a recommendation for CEC as the closest to where I needed to be most of the week.
Definitely plan to head back down that way sometime although it may not be until next year. Really enjoyed Coal Creek area.
Also turns out that I had folks to visit who had moved from DC area to Maryville and my old Navy chief is in Oliver Springs. I was able to connect with the Maryville folks but not the chief.
Sorry we didn't get the chance THIS time but I'll add you to the list when we make it down that way again.
