Hi,
My son and I visted a few years ago (three I think).
We were driving our 28 Ford, stock (no a/c

) with a teardrop.
It was a 90+ day, and we arrived around 4:30 pm.
The campground guard shack was closed, and they wanted the money
before you went in to choose a site.
I tried to be nice and paid by putting my money in an envelope, and dropping it in the slot.
We went in and drove around for a while, everything looked odd, then it hit us
There were no utilities...not the end of the world, but it was 90+ and a fan sure would have been nice...
We discussed it, and decided we were too tired to go on, what the heck, we could take a shower and cool off...
Well, we found a spot, and headed for the shower room.
We were a bit surprised to find only a restroom, and dirty at that.
They did have showers, but they were a very long way from the campground, AND you had to pay extra for them.
As you might imagine, I was getting rather upset.
I had already paid (dumb, dumb, dumb!) and there was no one there to give me my money back, or even grumble to
Well, then the little lightbulb went off!
They had a very nice air-conditioned hotel, with indoor plumbing on the grounds, it was a tough pill to swallow, but it was a very comfortable night!
To be fair, the campground was nice (except for the shower arrangement and restroom) and a self contained unit would have no troubles.
The park overall was very nice, and the caves (the main attraction, as you know) are well worth any aggrivation that might come your way.
We've been 4 times, and still find reason to return...we just don't camp there.
Rob
Waiting for "someday" will leave you on your deathbed wondering why you didn't just rearrange your priorities and enjoy the time you had, instead of waiting for a "better" time to come along...
