8 years in a teardrop will do that to ya.

Didn't get much done today other than installing tie downs for the spare.
It can be taken out through either door if one is blocked.
Started spraying the cabinets. Even after a thorough cleaning and sanding , it turned out awful.
I'll see if I can find this color in a pint and roll it on.

Had the girl at Lowe's match up the paint.

Marvel, as it drips down the can.
I think it should darken up a tad.

Painting is very relaxing today.ImageImage

Modstock, Howdy;

That's a popular color over here in N.M. Coupla tricks I've learned
during my many orbits around the sun.
1) Use a flat tip screw driver to open a few drain holes in the lip
of the can the lid fits into. I do 4, each across from another.
2) Exhale into the can just before closing the lid. The remainder
won't skin over as thick due to the lack of Oxygen.

Oooooh, I like it. Kinda has that turquoise, desert southwest look Hank mentioned. A little distressed/fauxtina weathering might be nice too.
Good choice.

Thanks for the tip on the paint lip.
I thought about the distressed look when I was sanding it.

Modified, painted and installed the cabinets for the sink and cooktop.
Separator wall was carpeted and screwed down.

Started working on the countertops , was finishing up the hole for the sink when the countertop fell off the table and broke into 4 pieces.

Going with clear polyurethane to coat them.

Decided to walk away for the night. ImageImageImageImage

"Decided to walk away for the night."
Takes a smart man to know when to say when. This stuff is supposed to be fun. If it stops being fun, do something else. Gotta say, it's looking good. Those cabinets are a bold punch of color in there. The natural wood tops will look great. Nice work Modstock.

Modstock, Howdy;

Yea, wise individual, knows when to stop and take some time to
mash the reset button.
Like the color, almost gettin' a 50's retro look in there. :thumbsup:
Sometimes the reset takes several "12 oz. curls".

I don’t see what fell off and broke? Are these parts you glued up?

It was the countertop for the sink.

New top is cut out, test fitted and polyurethaned up.

The first two coats I rolled on and the results were okay but I wanted more.
So I cracked the lid a tiny bit and started to pour it on.
Poured a thin line, enough to spread out on its own without being too much.

So here is something I learned while remodeling a bar. If you have bubbles that you can't get to flow off the edge, wait till it sets up some then wave a propane torch back and forth over the bubbles. Don't scorch it just heat it up till the bubbles burst and the clear flows back to a smooth finish. Do it while the clear is still tacky but thick like cold maple syrup, a few seconds should be all it takes.
