i will look into the tongue, but it was used to carry a 180+kg quad.
thinking of extending out the back to help with balance

I think you're probably reffereing to what we (over here) call a tongue jack.

I like a weld-on swivel jack but they make them that bolt on.

Reminds me of the 5x8ft trailer I owned 30 years ago with low profile aircraft type tires- the dump bed feature was very handy for hauling a yard of ground shell to fill the pot holes in my private road.
