Hi everyone! Found this forum when doing some research on building a camping trailer for overlanding/off-roading. I saw some great posts so I decided to join the crowd. I am looking about building the squareback/squaredrop style on a 5x8 frame. Thinking of the Timbren system and want to match my Wrangler for wheels and tires. Hoping to have it lifted and run 35" tires soon. Still in the planning phase of the whole build. Once I get the plans where I want them I'll definitely post them up for suggestions. Till then, I will be doing a lot of searching the site and hopefully not asking too many of the same questions.

Hey guys! I am in Marlborough, next to Keene. So Jaffery is next door and I'm about just over an hour from Manchester and 2 hrs from Dover! I will definitely keep you all up to date on my build, right now nothing exciting. I got a general idea on how I want the outside to look but I am trying to figure out the inside so I can get the outside decided. Biggest thing holding me up is deciding how I want to slope the front and how tall before I make the slant. I may put a few ideas together and put it up to get some feedback.

Hello Guys, I'm from Manchester, NH. I'm new to this group and glad to see other NH folks. I'm looking to build a Teardrop this year but having a hard time finding the right trailer. Anyone know of a local trailer dealer that could help me make a custom one? I'd still like to stay on the lighter side. My 2016 Renegade has a towing capacity of 2000#.

Don't know of any shops but there is a shop on Elm St that sells trailers and work on hot rods, they may know someone that does. I am in the same boat with with weight issue, I'm having my brother weld me one.

Keep watching Criag's List. I just saw a decent 5x8 2K load for $850. Several others under $500. Any of the freebie's on there will certainly need some work.

I'll try to find the folks out around Nottingham again. They build snowmobile/cargo/camping trailer. Very basic units, yet all aluminum and a great starting point to build up from! I did a quick search and didn't see them.. I will try again.
