John, I bought my Paslode 1/4” crown stapler and nail gun in 1974 and their still going strong. I have some Senco guns that I'm not too impressed with and one GREX headless pin nailer that's a wonderful tool. Danny

Thanks for the recommendation Danny. I'm familiar with Paslode products, good quality. I looked up their 1/4 inch crown stapler. Over $200. My wife thought I didn't have enough years left to make it worth the cost.
I saw Porter Cable has one for around $99. I'll keep looking at a few more selections.
I'm in the process of getting a new tool acquisition list together. Fun.

Harbor Freight is good as a short term training device. They are cheap but do not last long, get their insurance and then switch to a better brand. I went with Craftsman which i use for putting together bee hive boxes, nothing very heavy duty.
I just bought a Ryobi Airwave pneumatic stapler. Cost $69 Australian. About $53 US. I have only fired a few test staples, so can't really pass judgement yet, except to say it seems to be a heck of a lot better than the unbranded cheapy I built the trailer with.
