Brought my dog Lex with me in this one. Had a friend in camp who kept an eye out for her while I was riding.

They are RV Leveling blocks. I got them at Walmart, but Amazon has them also.

They work great for side to side leveling, each notch on the level is one pad off, so I just stack them and connect them up like Legos and drive up on them. I carry 2 blocks. Seems to cover me and when a third row is not needed, I use them for the jack stands more or less the keep track of them.

Anyone using these tire temperature and pressure monitors on thier CTC? I like to keep an eye on trailer tire pressures and temperature. This system seems to have reviews that indicate it works well. I guess I can take a chance for less than 40 bucks. The TV has this function already built in.

I was wondering if this tire system was working out for you. I am looking at getting a similar setup. Any pros or cons to the one you got?

Cindy, mine are working out very well for me. Only drawback is that if you have a sensor reading that is low and you need to add air or verify with a gage, you need to be careful tightening and loosening the sensor (use the wrenches/tools provided) to make sure you do not damage or stress the valve stem. I had these well over a year and batteries are still good. I actually had an alarm go off once and the tire was indeed leaking... was able to replace the tire with spare before any blowout or etc..

I was actually surprised the system works so well given the cost. Others have had different experiences... just read the reviews. 4 stars of 5.

Ordered the steel tubing today to rebuild my bed platform from wood frame to steel frame. I am aiming to drop over 50% of the weight and increase the strength. Recently, on a rough forest road I cracked a 2*4 where the lag bolt attached the bed resting hardware. Easy fix.. but a warning sign.

The bed as it is has been great for the last 4 years, but it is very heavy.. and the wood attachment points are the weak link. I will be using all the same lift hardware. I am just going to build a frame the same dimensions as the existing bed and attach the cables. Only challenge will be to build in the drop drawer in the bottom given the 1"x2" steel frame vs the 2"*4: wood frame that allowed for a better recess. Not sure I can get away with eliminating that. My wife really likes the drawer so I will need to think that through.

I would think not having to go to work everyday in accordance with a fixed schedule would be like living on cloud nine ALL the time. I have heard retired people say "now that I am so busy retired, how did I ever ever get anything done before?" LOL!

I’m kinda partially retired. I quit building homes in November. Found a part time gig to bide my time at, I’m off every day at noon and Wednesday off all day. It’s nice to spend time with my kids, it’s nice not stressing deadlines, it’s way nice not having to deal with stupid customers or even dumber bosses who expect the world but pay you for Texas desert Love my partially retired life but do miss the extra $$

When I was working I found "Vacation Time" was that time I'd have to accomplish 'stuff'
that I'd have no other time to do. Retirement became that time for the first few years
and now I find that not having to wear a watch to be one of the most 'freeing' things.

Had the 690R out and about the forest roads today. Couldn't stay out too long. I had to keep Lex inside the CTC while I was out.
