I don't think I've seen corrugated cladding made from it. Ours is usually zincalume (dipped in zomc/aluminium) or cplourbond - baked on coating that lasts forever.

Our roof is made of galvalume (according to Google, it's the same thing as zincalume). Came with a 40 year warranty and I'll believe it lasts forever, but the green color sure faded badly in the New Mexican sun in the past 13 years. (Granted, at 7000 ft, we're closer to the sun than some folks....)

That's a nice looking dump truck! Is that your shop?

That’s the company I work does shop, my garage is a bit smaller at 48x38. The shop I did build years ago at 75’x 120’ if I remember correctly ( it needs AC in the shop hell it’s hot)

The dump truck is my current work truck, between that and these two

PIZZA NIGHT

Postby Capebuild » Sat Jun 12, 2021 5:37 pm

When the pandemic hit last year I started a project of building a wood fired brick pizza oven.
Finished it up a month or so ago.

Tonight was "pizza night". Tomorrow I'm going to try cooking a brisket in it. The oven gets up to about 1000°.
It stays hot for 3 or 4 days, gradually reducing in temp over that time so you can plan your cooking menu over those days
according to the temperature things cook best at.

The Aleve and glass of wine also helps after a day of trailer building.

Can you redesign the galley for a pizza oven? It would be a first for a teardrop!

* Not so sure I'd want a 1000 degree oven in my galley whilst I sleep. My trailer is plywood soaked in polyurethanes! Foamies might be even more combustible!

* And, I wonder if you'd need to get approvals from the DOT to haul an active pizza oven (with temperatures up to 1000 degrees) over the interstate, if you couldn't wait for it to cool before travelling.

That is really a great idea to kind of integrate an oven into the galley. The weight, though, would be quite excessive. But it did get me thinking of having a sort of mini trailer which the oven would be built on
that hooked up to the rear hitch receiver.  Kind of like those double trailer rigs you see on the road.

I have seen at fairs, farmers markets and other events these really large brick ovens on chassis frames that get towed to these events.

I have a friend in architecture, we had an interesting discussion about making an adobe camper "shell" for his Jeep. He ended up using aluminum, but adobe would have had better sound dampening properties...

Here's the center section assembled with some stain & paint added. Starting to shape up a bit, it's getting there...
