Big weekend

Postby Modstock » Fri May 28, 2021 11:40 am

Who is going where this weekend?
And
Who is staying home ?

Me, I choose to stay home during this holiday weekend.
It's 11:30am and it's already a zoo out there.

We're retired, so everyday is...um...let's say the 4th of July (for you Canadians, that's our version of 1 July) :)

We'll stay home and avoid the crowds.

Please pause and give thought to anyone you know who may have lost a vet.

Staying home.

 When one can camp any time, the best and probably quietest place to be on a holiday weekend is home! Let people with kids and people still filling their weekdays with work have the holiday weekends to enjoy. We're usually happier to avoid all that traffic, crowded campgrounds, and noise.

Just a drive over to Angel Fire to look around & enjoy the mountains. It's a nice place at about 8,400' elevation, good lake & a ski area as well. Looking forward to a teardrop trip to Wyoming this summer.

Had a long weekend camping at "Land of Mordor" last weekend.
Staying home and having a BBQ on Monday.

Camped at a friend's place they have access to that is a private ranch. Rode motorcycles and had the kids splash in the creek.

Stayed home to help my son get his foamie on the road on Saturday.

Sunday I moped around recovering from three 14 hour building days in a row.

Today I thought about my dad, a WWII Navy veteran who passed in '12. He is greatly missed. :NC

Then I began to modify my old, original tongue box for my woodie TD because I hate the look of the replacement rectangular box I planted on the tongue a couple years ago. I'm going to have to ease out of the TD building mode.

I did decide to buy a Jack-E-Up tongue jack adapter. I'll have to do a short review when I get it and have had some time to put it through the paces.
