What do you think trailer is?

Postby QueticoBill » Sat Jun 12, 2021 11:49 am

My best guess is 72 or 73 Scotty Serro 15' Gaucho. Will look for vin this afternoon. Minor exterior damage, some siding to replace, gutted interior, frame appears OK, reported towable, title available. Guess as to value? On off chance my wife might camp in this, and she won't in teardrop, I might drop the teardrop ;) plans and make this a project.

Don't do it Qbill. Make a teardrop AND restore that trailer for the wifey! You'll be happy you did!
BTW... didja you have a photo or link or did I just miss it?

Hope that works. I did mean to upload. I have a bunch more but many have a for sale sign with telephone number, and not posting that here!

1973 15' Serro Scotty Sportsman based on trying to read VIN.

See something, say something.

My experience says it's (most of the time) easier, more fun and less expensive building from the ground up.

Just my 2 cents :hammer: :hammer:

I have restored a couple of 100+ year old houses, so perhaps a difference in approach, but understand your point.

Mine won't camp in a tear drop. Despite being a fair bit shorter than I am she "needs" something she can stand up in. That's fine. I built an expedition trailer for me and am resto-modding a fiberglass trailer for us. In the meantime we have a "tearpop" that will likely be going when my current project is done.
