No problem. My first build I experimented with Alex Plus and it worked great it just takes a long time to dry. I still have a block of foam around here that I glued together with it for a test.
I like to use Gorilla Glue Construction Adhesive because it has a good grab and hold when putting pieces together. Alex plus does not.
Gorilla Glue Construction Adhesive cures much faster too. Usually full cure in a few hours. Alex Plus can take days to cure fully to the middle.
Gorilla Glue Construction Adhesive is quite expensive though and at this point can be a bit hard to find at the stores. I figured I would try something different this time by using Gorilla Glue at the clamp points to get a good bond and Ales Plus at the other locations to save on cost. In the picture you can see a little line of glue below the long line of glue. Bottom is Gorilla Glue Construction Adhesive and top line is Alex Plus. I unclamped the walls the next day and everything stayed in place. If I had just used the Alex Plus I think it would have come a part. I do however find that once the Alex Plus cures it holds just as good as the Gorilla Glue Construction Adhesive.
