Ugh! The Darn Bed!

Postby Dahlia47 » Sat Dec 25, 2021 11:59 pm

After looking on the web and youtube I think I may have finally picked a bed.
A slide out slat bed. Have any of you tried this in your TT's? I need something easy on my back. If you have this bed, is it easy to slide in and out? When you sleep on it, do you feel the gaps in between the slats? I have a futon mattress to go on it.

I put in a sliding bed a couple of years ago. Best mod ever, I should have built it that way from the beginning (except I didn't know about them then). Bee's wax makes them slide really easily.

I used 1/2" baltic birch plywood and it's plenty strong; it's a little bouncy so it feels more like a real bed. We don't feel the gaps at all.
