Allright!!! I think I better put the roof on first. I would hate to get this close and get stuck in a tent. 8)

I wonder if we get enough they will be impressed enough to reserve. 8)

Hey Julie,

What do you think about having Talent Show as part of the gathering? It would not be contest, just an opportunity for people to get to know each other through the things that we like to do (5 or 6 minutes for each participant). For example if a person likes to sing, she/he could sing a favorite song for the group. ...or if a person is a good story teller, she/he could tell a quick (5 or 6 minute story), or bring a piece of art and tell about the inspiration for it, etc.

Just a thought. ;)

BTW, I'm finally going camping. I have had to cancel all of my previous plans for the maiden camping outing. ...but this weekend, it's for real!!

The interior is plan-jane, but I want to see "What to leave, what leave out....Against, the wind, still runnin' against...." :D

Hi all,
Well I had to go to Grove OK today so we (daughter and grandkids) popped over to Bernice. Very pretty area. Looks just like the pictures even with the extreme heat and dry conditions. Has a great covered shelter and water at all sites.

The kids were a bit disapointed we didn't bring a picnic but promised to come back. They liked it too.

Good pick Julie

Yeah! Hooray! Woo hoo! Can you tell I'm excited? Sometimes things just work out right! I sat down with the school calendar this morning, and found out that we have no school on Friday of this gathering. Now I can leave early and have an extra day, instead of coming in late Friday evening!! (I like to get places early, not to pick the best spot, but so as few people as possible get to watch me back my trailer in.)

Karol !!! wooohooo ... so no football game either huh?

I haven't checked my kids' schedule yet, but don't know if the 16 yr old will want to come or not anyway. Plans right now have someone coming with me though (teehee! ) Is your son or kids coming?

I've got that day off work, so we should caravan up there !

When do you think you'll leave? It's about a 2.5-3.0 hr drive from here.
I wouldn't mind leaving by 10 in the morning.

I need to call the manager again, just to confirm what he told me before. He had said that being two weekends after Labor Day, we should have the park to ourselves! I might still need to get the first nights pay from everybody , just to confirm the spots a.s.a.p.

:awesome:

Julie-
Oh there is a ballgame that night. They'll just have to find someone to do my job. What are they going to do? Fire me from my volunteer job. (Sometimes I wish that would happen!)
I know Lucas will be coming with me, and maybe his friend Tyler. Don't know for sure. My dad has felt so good since his kidney surgury, that it might be hard to get away without him!
I don't know what time we would leave. A caravan sounds ok with me. We'll talk later to check times and a meeting spot. I'm ready!!!

Let me know if you need any fees before hand.

Miriam-
I worry about backing every time I take the teardrop anywhere. But so far, I haven't had to get out to push it in place. My first trip I got a pull through campsite, and the second time out my campsite became a pull through. After that I decided I was pushing my luck, and practiced at home. (You know that I have now jinxed myself, and at Grand Lake everyone will get to watch me totally mess up!!)

Karol,
You just show up at the same time as me and I will scare everyone so bad everything else will look good. I can't practice, cause I can't see the trailer till I get the thing up permanantly. Soon I hope.

Can't wait 8)
