The exception to moving away is the death adder, he'll stay put.
At least our venomous crawlers generally give an audible warning with their rattles. Sometimes we call 'em buzz worms here.

Me? I've been known to jump 2' to 3' when a cicada cranks up his mating call right next to me. There's probably a reason they evolved to sound something like a rattler.
I think they are a good thing to have here. They help keep the wild in the wild west, just a little bit. Some wildness to keep looking for.
