Any Vistabule Owners?

Postby Dagobah » Wed Apr 20, 2022 7:15 am

Hi there,

We've been researching teardrops for the past year and have finally narrowed our search down to either a Camp-Inn 560 or a Vistabule trailer. The Camp-Inn's have tons of information online (the owners forum is a fantastic resource), but I'm having a much harder time finding first hand accounts from Vistabule owners about their experience (Cosmo's excellent videos excluded).

Are there any Vistabule owners here? I'm looking for answers to questions like:

- Any problems?
- How comfortable is the futon mattress?
- How has Vistabule support been when there have been issues?
- Any options you wish you would have gotten or ones you haven't used?
- Any surprises?
- Why did you choose a Vistabule over other campers?
- Know where I can find a used one!? (15month lead times currently)
- Anyone near Dallas, TX? We'd love to see one in person.

Thanks!!!

Cosmo(member name Cosmo) has one. (Cosmo Weems is his full name) He interviews people who have them as well. Look here for one of them: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-eEyg-NnPfo Don't be confused when you see the horse. The interview will start shortly after the horse does his stretches.

Thanks Sharon and Bill.

There is a Vistabule Enthusiasts group on Facebook with hundreds of members.https://www.facebook.com/groups/vistabule.enthusiasts. It should be easy to find what you are looking for. Occasionally a rig shows up for sale there. They sell quickly.

You should be able to find one to view near Dallas in the groups or you can contact Vistabule for an owner near you.

There is also a Vistabule owners group on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/groups/vistabuleowners which has lots of customization tips. Fortunately not much complaining.

I am typing this from my Vistabule camping in Cape May NJ. I have been living in my trailer while traveling 23 days so far. No issues. Its a pleasant vacation home!

Regards and go camp!

Not saying anything negative about the Vistabule but, you really need to consider the build quality of the Camp Inn.

The attention to detail, customer support, and follow up is unheard of in the industry.

For what it’s worth - we ended up finding a local Vistabule to look at and were impressed, but it was a little small for us. I think either would be a great trailer, but ultimately we found a used Camp-Inn I’m picking up in a few weeks.

I’ve been in contact with Camp-Inn on a few upgrades for the trailer and the amount of time, detail and care they put into support - when I’m not even an original owner, is amazing.

For example, the trailer we’re buying is a 2011. It has brakes but doesn’t have the autowbrake controller. I talked to Craig about this and he put together a custom kit for me with detailed instructions on how to add this to my trailer with the older electrical system. Not to mention the hours he’s spent on the phone with me to answer other questions.
