I checked Reserve America and there are some excellent options for groups of sites June 17-19 weekend. We'll probably book 4 or 5 nights ourselves. Once you hit July dates its next to impossible to get even 2 sites together. I'll look over the list of sites and pick the best group and post site numbers (I have lots of notes along with lots of site photos  )

Are you good for June 17-19 weekend Steve?

How about you Norm?

By the way Steve... check out this satellite view of Fish Creek. You can zoom in almost close enough to see campers around the ponds

Such find kayaking options at Fish Creek... pateardropper you have to make it!

Hi Dave,
June 17-19 sounds good if my daughter can miss one day of school.
Lets see who else is in.

Hi Dave,

June 17th -19th is good for us too. All our kayaking trips are in April/May. However October is kayaking trip month again. August is good for us too. I joined a group called Tearjerkers{Liberty Bell Chapter} ,and noticed none of their names on the list. If I may ,can I post on the web page, and invite them? That may add 5-10 teardrops to the list. They are from the Pa,NY,NJ area, and would be close enough to join up. Let me know if I can post an invite. Thanks.

The June dates sound good to us (Alan and Leslie). We were already planning a trip east at that time,

Post the area of the sites and we will make reservation too.

Sounds like this could be quite an outing!!!

Ok, I've consulted availability at Fish Creek Pond along with my stack of notes, site photos, angle of the sun and much more. The sites to choose are sites 188-205. They are all currently available from at least June 14-22. These sites are all prime waterfront, quite large and treed located on the largest of the 3 ponds (Square Pond). Most site have excellent water access for your cedar strip kayaks and canoes, and excellent views of Square Pond. They are also within a reasonable distance from the main shower facility and serviced nightly by the Ice Cream truck (not sure if this only starts when school lets out or not.. we shall see).

Kate and I have book site 195 for 4 nights (Thurs June 16, departing Monday June 20, 2005). We may add a few extra nights prior to those dates if the weather is enticing.

Here is our site to give you an idea what its like...

For more photos visit our Camp ADK photo gallery at
http://campadk.com/pjsnoozer/pjphotos.html . There are photo albums from 3 of our past trips there.

Here is a map of the campground and ponds with the location of the sites...

I will be posting more info along with photos of most of those sites shortly.

You can reserve online at Reserve America. Visit http://www.reserveamerica.com/
or call the old fashion way at 1-800-456-2267

NOTE! If you book online, be patient. Their online system is a bit flakey, and sites don't necessarily come up in site number order if you are scanning sites by date. I'm not sure about June, but I know in July, August there is a 3 night minimum.

If you have any questions about Fish Creek etc, post a question here or email me at [email protected] .

I reserved camp site 199 for this weekend. I look forward to a chance to visit the Adirondacks ( a first for me ), paddling and meeting with other teardroppers.

Great Gail! Look forward to meeting you and your new Camp-Inn.

So far we have 197 (Norm and Jeanne), 195 (Kate and I) and 199 (Gail). Hopefully others fill in with 196 (nice site!) and 198 so we can 'band together'. These are some of the largest sites at Fish Creek as well so we can probably set up badminton or other such games.

We'll be bring our canoe and might have a motor boat as well (spring project) for some boat tours up into Upper Saranac Lake. There is excellent still water canoe/kayaking available right from your site. You'll see some of the routes on the satellite map I posted above.
