Great advice from all of you..

I have made some changes to my chassis plans

I will use 2 x 2 x.120 for the side rails & tongue

I will use 2 x 1 x 1/8 C Channel for the cross members.

this will shave 79 # off of the trailer weight. 123# instead of 202#

I am happy with that figure

Hi BMR528, it's been 4 years, but I just joined the group a month ago and was thinking very much along these lines, 2x2x120 side rails and tongue, plus 2x2x0.125 C channel cross members. Saves lots of weight and money, plus the C channel makes for a great attachment point for the camper.

So....How'd it all turn out? Are you happy with the design, would you change anything, etc.?
