Another day in the garage.

Shortened the 7 pin by about 15"

169728

Spliced in the 2 to 3 module, all hooked up at this end.

169732

One side of all the plugs soldered up. I wanted to keep the trailer and camper elec. systems complete separately for who knows why but I'm building in that option.

As far as camper elec system grounding, as I said I'm keeping that separate from the trailer/TV, well that's the way I've been leaning the whole time but not 100% on that. That is what I'm starting to dial in on as the wall/ceiling framing come into play with elec. and light fixtures.

169725

Left rear corner (mechanical closet) is tails 4 pin plug and tail light ground, my little plug kit didn't come with 5 pins, 10g 12v from the TV on it's own 10g plug.

169726

Other then just finding a few cable clamps, the trailer wiring is wrapped up.
I'll be done when I'm finished, if that's not fast enough, take a number.

Was a long work week, about 56 hrs once I finish up my paperwork this weekend and just shy of 600 miles driving between my 4 Seattle and one Issaquah projects. Friday my work van started having issues, got it home in the middle of the day okay, jumped in my truck and flew back to Seattle to finish up my day.
I can't get it in anywhere for 2 weeks, couldn't be worse timing

But that's work, this is not work.

Today I'm taking it easy but the lumber yard is closed on Sunday so I drilled new holes and bolted on the fenders, I may revisit the fender attachment later but right now I need them in place to build the floor, rolled the trailer out and cleaned up the garage from all the cutting, welding and painting.

Ran up to Dunn lumber because that's how you get things dunn. Picked up 6 sheets of 1/2" ply for the floor as well as a few 6" and a box of 4" Simpson timber screws, they were out of the PL adhesive I wanted, I'll grab a few tubes tomorrow at one of the Borg stores.

Tomorrow I'll cut the ply to size, layout my framing, pull out the table saw rip some 2x4's in half and get this floor going.

Pro tip: Don't rip your 2x4's until you're ready to use them because they tend to warp if you leave them stacked for vary long.

I dueled on that a little for years, and the last two city bumper light’s in the left rear, I grounded after reading one article here
I will look for it later today!

Got the ext. floor plywood cut and built the first frame. I built this section aligned with the 2nd frame bay, so that if I find later that I need more storage it'll be easy peasy to drop in a floor box.

To answer the question's your all about to ask, I'm building the floor in 3 sections that I will screw together with timber screws and sandwich some butyl tape between each section.

Why? Well because I don't have much elbow room and this will make it so much easier for me to handle and build.

Why did I build the frame separately? This way I can lay the frame on the floor, upside down, glue it up, drop on the ply and screw it all down, flip it over, install the foam and skin the top side.
No clamps or weights needed, set one aside and do the next. Story of my life, proving to the world that yes you can build a 10 pounder in your 5 pound shop.

Oh, I should note that I 45 the corners on the fly, did a mock up sq/45 and grabbed the saw. Makes my curved roof a little tricky on those corners but it'll sort itself out as it comes together.

Built another frame section built after work today. N I have to sort out the galley a bit because it drives the floor framing.

I got a buddy down your way in Katy, I've been hearing a thing or two about it being a tad bit warm. I'm still using the defroster at 6AM but it climbs to the upper 70s pretty quick and maybe nudge 80
A few weeks back we cleared 100 one day and had a high of 65 overcast and windy the next :?

Cook top arrived today. I wanted it in hand before finalizing the Galley lay out, sink goes on the left. Countertop will be 21"x58" which is enough and I'm thinking of adding what basically amounts to a cook top cover that will flip out and hang off the end of the cook top pullout for an additional18-19" of counter space. With that sorted out I can frame the last section of the floor and get to putting it together.

Yesterday one of my clients asked if I could get rid of some old aluminum deck railing for him, why I sure can.
This piece of hand rail is 13.5' and one at 7.5' plus all the aluminum posts and stainless wire rope.
I need 2 pieces alum. channel for the retractable awning and the cost right now exceeds my ability to open my wallet.
I think I devised a way to use this in place of 2 pcs of channel at 3AM this morning as well as reducing the overall dimensions of the awning hardware.
Now if I could just score some 3/4 and 1/2" alum. tubing.

Yeah it was :)

Bottom is glued, screwed and sections joined together with some butyl tape in the joints.
Forgot I had already flipped the center section when I was laying out my water tank blocking and put it on the wrong side, but I got that fixed quickly.

My Bal jacks arrived today, 22' and 25',I have 2 different mounting scenarios. I bought returns from Amazon which saved me nearly $50.

169908 169907

One of the crank handles is missing, not sure how that happened.
Not really concerned as I plan to buy an HF cordless drill to run them up/down and the crank is just back up.

169906

The set with the missing crank has some abrasion marks, I could squirt it with some Rustoleum but I don't think I care that much about it. The 25's are in like new condition.

Talked to Amazon and they refunded me $20 which means the 22" set cost me $18, in a manor of speaking.

Got a late start today dealing with the grandkid, grandma slept in for some reason, I was trying to get out there before the heat, but I did rework my floor panel joints. They didn't come together a tight as I wanted due to the accumulative effects a few little variances in construction. Pre drilled for carriage bolts, took it apart, tossed an old blade in the skilsaw and with a straight edge cut 1/8" off both sides of the joints, butyl tape and all. Glued it back together with PL glue bolted it up with 4 carriage bolts per joint and added timber screws between those.
Checked Lowes inventory by my house Friday for XPS foam before leaving Seattle and driving by a 1/2 dozen other places to get it. They said they had 51 sheets of 1.5" it was all an evil wicked dastardly lie. I asked an employee which lead to me pulling out the ruler on my leatherman to show him it was not 1.5" The lumber yard is closed Sundays and I am not driving into Seattle, I'll pick it up tomorrow on my why home from work.
It's getting hot now anyway so I probably wouldn't have gotten much further.
