And yes, that's smoke in the background from the nearby Moose Fire. :frightened:

Tony

I've always dug those drift boats.
Must be wonderful to have enough river to float one.
Sigh.
I view them as a sort of specialised incarnation of a dory.
You know how you tend to run out of time for all the things you'd like to do in life?
I used to dream of having the money and time to build a Pacific City type dory.
Probably never make it now.

Thanks guys! Last night my brother-in-law gave me the best possible compliment. He's seen my truck many times and he asked when I bought a new truck

cjlangellier wrote:My truck was in desperate need of some TLC. The finish had failed on the Go Rhino running boards. I stripped them back to bare metal and primed them then sprayed them with leftover bedliner from my teardrop build. Next up was a paint correction. Though my truck is only 6 years old, it looks like it had been run through auto touch car washes since brand new. The paint still had a nice shine but when the sun hit it right you could see tons of fine scratches and swirls throughout the entire truck. I did a two step paint correction starting with a medium cutting compound then following that up with a polishing compound. I topped all that off with a ceramic wax treatment. The results were pretty incredible. I got probably 95% of the scratches out leaving behind only a few of the deeper imperfections. The clarity of the paint is night and day from what I started with.

Much better and nice truck. I did my every two year buff and polish a couple months ago.

We have the 2yo spawn of our spawn for a couple more nights. I did get a chance to replace one of the rear 1/2 door handles on my truck. Later the mini spawn got out of the pool and he wanted to play my game of solitaire on the phone, he got it about red/black but he still comes up a bit short on the whole number thing.

The kids picked us up this morning and took us into Seattle to the Zoo with the grandson. They packed a little picnic lunch, which I didn't really partake in, Pop pop (me) took the wee one to the reptile barn so the rest could eat. the Komodo took him by surprise when he realized that's not a log, he jumped back a few steps startled and grabbed my hand, but then had his nose pressed against the glass, then he spotted the Meerkat's which held his attention better then the monkey's, after that him and grandma rode the carousel.
Was a nice day.

Sounds like a very nice day Pop Pop,, we got to enjoy all of them we can..
My little pop is just over 2 now, we don't get to see as much as we would like, for this and that reasons..
So we take what we can.. :)
Stay safe, David

Yes we do.
They drop him off for the weekend about every 6 weeks which is nice but Mrs Boss would like to see him more. Personally this is perfect so the kids don't pick up on my revenge tactics on my son through his son.

Awesome views! Is there a stool with insulated legs to sit on during a lightning storm? 8)
