Trip to San Diego

Things that don't fit anywhere else...

Postby thobbs » Sat Aug 05, 2006 12:51 am

Well, we just got back from San Diego and are totally exhausted from the 12 hour drive. Next time we fly! or take more time with a teardrop behind. We did Sea World, Old Town, eating at Cafe Coyote, visited the Mormon Battalion Museum and found out one of my relatives was on the march, swam in the ocean, got totally frazzled in traffic!!!!, and visited Hotel Coronado. We had a lot of fun. Thanks for all the advice. It was very helpful. :applause: :D

Thobbs: :)

So glad you had a good time in San Diego.

What did you like doing the best while there?

Seeing the sights or going to the main attractions?

Did you find anything you couldn't live without back in Utah?

Did you by chance "if your Mormon by faith" see the big temple
near La Jolla. This is just North of the city on Highway 5?

Here are some images of the 45th operating temple
of Latter-day Saints in San Diego.

For those of you that want to know more about the Mormon Battalion?

We probably enjoyed the ocean and Sea world the best since we were with the kids. There isn't really anything I couldn't live without at home, but I was sure glad to see our own mountains and hear the crickets when we got back. We visited the temple there in 1998 when my husband and I went alone. It is beautiful inside and out.

:applause: Glad you had a good time. Everyone should see the ocean at least once just as they should see the mountains and desert. The kids will surly remember the trip.
