rubber molding between fender and body

Postby nrhmaine » Mon Dec 19, 2022 7:28 pm

I think I'm seeing a little black plastic cove molding in various people's pictures, between things like fender and body.
I'm searching this forum and the web, and can't land on the right search terms to find this unknown substance! Can someone point me in the right direction?

Thanks!

As Friz mentioned, it's called Fender Welting. I had applied it to my trailer. Here is a link to a video I had watched to learn about it and how to install it, which I thought explained it well. It shows it being installed on a VW Bug, but it will give you an idea how to install it. Some welting is vinyl and other is rubber. I used the rubber version, purchased from Bob Drake (see attached image)

Thanks.

Where else are folks using this on their builds, aside from fenders?
