Steve, I81 is the to go. And there is always construction on Interstate 81 somewhere's. I don't know of anything that is more than usual going on this summer.

Boy, I hope weather.com is correct in their forecast that the high for Max Meadows on Friday is 86 and on Saturday 80. What a wonderful change that would be from the 100+ degree weather that pretty much everyone has been suffering through.

This might mean we don't sit 25 feet away from the campfire to avoid getting roasted.

We'll be leaving Augusta GA (hopefully) around 8:30 or 9 am (if I can get enough coffee poured into Bill by then) on Friday. If anyone wants to join us for a caravan, let us know. I kinda putter along in my little truck though.

My supervisor is driving up Friday night, staying in a motel and wants to check out the teardrops as she is interested in getting one.

We're both bringing brownies to the dinner Saturday. We're pretending we're not dietitians this weekend.

Boo Hoo!

Postby stbuch » Wed Aug 02, 2006 6:34 pm

 The hubby says today that he thinks 7 hours one way is just too much for his bad back right now (old Army injury), so it looks like we will not make it after all. :x
We will go camping somewhere closer to home this weekend-looks like probably Sequoyah Caverns in Valley Head. Sorry we won't be there!
Have a cold one and think of us here in Alabama!

Good grief, isnt it the weekend yet?
Maybe if I sleep in the camper the week
will pass faster

I spoke with my friend Todd just a little while ago, by phone...
He's at the Tearjerkers North Meets South Rally.
He didn't sound right, wanted to buy Joanie and I plane tickets to get us back there ASAP!
I had him put Chip on the phone...
Yup, the pickle juice is flowin' fine and dandy at Fort Chiswell RV Park in Max Meadows, VA

I should've sent him some aspirin.
Oh wait... They do Goodies Headache Powders back there, right???

We're BAAACCCKKK!! Left at 4:00 AM, got here about 4:00 this afternoon.
Thanks to the chapter Directors, for a great weekend. Great spot, crowd...Everything was great!
It was great to be able to put faces, tears, and names together!
Better, to see some camping buddies, and friends, met through this board, and Tearjerkers.

Thanks again, everyone, for a great weekend!
