Used it to wake up a sleepy truck driver. Turns out he didn't speak English and was trying to block me from passing him. Called highway patrol on him.
I use the weather channel option more and traffic reports ch19.
Also have 2 baofeng XR 10watt radios that we use for local races that we volunteer for.
Still haven't got a ham license yet. Don't really need it. I will scan/listen to what's around me but stay silent.
