workshop "transformation"

Over the last 3 weeks I have built out my garage into a shop to prepare for my squaredrop build starting in 2 weeks.

I acquired most of these tools in November during the black friday (which lasted all of November), and December sales.

The "before" picture would frighten you all, needless to say it took about 3 weeks just to clear room to create and eventually build this workbench (4x8') with room to build the trailer and eventually the camper. The only two things in these photos that were there before the transformation was my dad's toolchest (the red craftsmen one) and the deer on the wall.

The workbench is based on plans from Crafted Workshop (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TxDAHzy ... edWorkshop) with some of my own modifications. It took me about 5 days to build (while working my full time job), and another 1-2 weeks of organizing/cleaning and creating the wall mounts to put all my clamps etc. on.

I think I am ready for this.

Before I made this workbench, I built another small one and did some projects that my fiancee wanted done, you can see those below, as well as the progress shots of the big workbench.

True that! I just want to get this right. It's an ambitious project for me since I've never tackled anything of this magnitude before. I built these things in preparation for the build, to get used to the tools and gain some confidence. I've got help though, cousin that's a Welder coming up to help with the trailer frame, an electrician friend for all the wiring, but the wood is completely up to me.

Hoping for success, and something that lasts longer than my lifetime!

Now you need a pallet Jack to move that heavy bench.
Years ago I got tired of killing my back moving my heavy bench.
I bought a motorcycle lift bench plan and made a height adjustable bench that I lift with a Automotive Jack and move with a pallet jack.

You're building way too heavy. What is your tow vehicle? How much can you tow?

Too heavy? This is just my workbench! My tow vehicle will be my Nissan Frontier SV Crew Cab, can tow a little over 6,000lbs. I am estimating the camper (once I start the build) will weigh around 1200-1400lbs

Now you need a pallet Jack to move that heavy bench.

It's got casters on it rated for 2,400lbs, moves pretty easily on my garage floor! I even put all my steel for the trailer on it today and was still able to move it around without too much trouble
