Silencing That Generator!

We will need to silence our generator for our next trip. Possibly another trip we will be taking as well. I know I can't exactly completely silent, but I can minimize the noise for our neighbors. Have any of you done this? If so, how? If you can, show me what you did! Thank You!

The simplest is to lean a sound board on it. I've seen folks use 1" foam board as well (the ones with foil on them) or plywood. Deflects the sound downward and works fairly well. Just be aware of exhaust heat.

Happy to hear you thinking of ways to quit it..
