OK, apologies for such a long hiatus. I was genuinely working EVERY weeknight and weekend from about April to June in order to get it barely roadworthy for a trip to Pinery Provincial Park in Ontario, Canada Jun 6-11. Then a 2 week trip from MI to Maine beginning July 5th, and back with stops in NH and NY.
A couple topics of interest, and then I'll post a bunch of photos.
STARGAZER WINDOW1) There are special installation tools for the window gasket that take some practice; By the 3rd window install, I think I finally learned the tricks to make it easier
2) Started with 1/4" thick acrylic which was way too stiff, and we simply failed to get that installed
3) I had a 2nd window made 1/8" thick, which we successfully installed into Trim-Lok LK1663

4) This worked for a while, but the window caved in during wind gusts on my trip home from Canada
5) I then appreciated John's wisdom in using Trim-Lok LK1660:

6) I had a 3rd window made (slightly larger) to fit this new gasket, and it's survived > 3000 miles of travel marvelously now
7) There is slight flex in the window, being only 1/8" thick, but even at highway speeds, it remains secure

FINAL WEIGHT & TOWING1) My certified scale weight of trailer was 840 lbs. But that was with it hitched to my vehicle. My car was on one plate, and the trailer on the second one. I'm curious to get a more
accurate dual weigh-in of my car only, then both. But I reached my goal of < 1000 lbs, if not quite the ~750 lbs that was my stretch goal.
2) I made sure I had a tongue weight of > 100 lbs. Usually 110-130. It towed beautifully, with no hint of sway or anything.
3) I installed the Autowbrake controller on the trailer, and adjusted the electric brake star-wheel adjuster. These worked great. There were a few 'anomalous' breaking events over my trip when the brakes would engage at full strength for 1-3 seconds after going over a more violent bump, but they weren't too bad. I'd be curious of others' experience with this rather expensive controller.
4) Gas Mileage: My car, by itself usually gets ~33 mpg on the highway, if I recall. With loaded with canoes and camping gear I think that goes down to about 28 mpg (again, if I recall). On this trip, I averaged 24.8 mpg over 3120 miles, but that included some driving that wasn't towing. While towing, it was 22-24 mpg.
