Good Evening!
I am starting of this build journal to document the progress we have made so far.
We picked up a old 1987 Coleman Columbia that was in rough shape to strip down to start the build, total cost = $0
Total time to strip down was about 6 hrs.
We acid washed the trailer frame to address the surface rust, and primed the frame to stop any rust from starting again.
We are currently working on boxing out the end rails we will end up cutting the width of the trailer down to 73" wide from 78"
The current planned external size is 73"x100"
We plan to build almost exclusively out of 1.5" foam, and we are working with a local source to CNC the foam with puzzle like cuts for added strength we are still in the design phase any constructive criticism (or any regular criticism) is much appreciated. (next post will have current fusion 360 design)
