The reason I got a Kipor was the price. It can be a problem to get it repaired, but they have more dealers than they used to. I also like the economy switch (which a honda and yamaha will have too). The generator will throttle down under light load so its quieter and uses less gas.

Oh yeah, stay away from Kipor Tc. They don't start motors so they're pretty useless.

I read that entire 73 page thread before I bought mine.

The big difference between the Kipor and Hondas is that the Hondas can be paralleled.
