10 Days quality time

Postby PaulC » Tue Aug 15, 2006 2:39 am

As of Thursday I will be away for 10 days. I am going to spend some quality time with Reiner, from Aussie Teardrop Campers, and his lovely wife Samantha in sunny Queensland. Not a real holiday more of a working holiday.
I want to see how Australia's only fulltime Manufacturer of TD's does it
Make the trailers, that is

Cheers
Paul

How far is that from you, and are you taking your TD?

And you can give me the distance with those crazy kilometers of yours, because I can convert them to miles on my Mac.
Here we go again!

Paul, Your going to give a detailed report. Right?
Looking at some of their builds, it looks like they build some nice offroad tears.

I suppose it would be down right wrong to suggest pictures
Oh well perhaps some pictures of Gueensland. Remember those of us stuck upright and needing a fix. 8) ;)

Probably too much, but what *I* want to know is if Paul is going to take one of those planes with Koalas on them... Ya know, the "Squiggly staircases...?

(Can't remember much more of that Quantas commercial anymore...)

Do the Koalas actually sit next to you or do they fly the plane?

I can see it now Paul sitting next to a Koala with the TD in the cargo hold. Or it could be a carry on I guess. I seen people with luggage larger than a TD trying to carry it on the plane with them!

Kirt, you've lost me with the "squiggly staircase" thing and it's a flying kangaroo on Quantas. 8)

By the way, Last time I drove to Brisbane it took us 3 days :?

Flying 'Roos now? Well, Quantas USED to have Koalas doing commercials for the 747, which has a helixical staircase to get from the front first class cabin up to the first class lounge and flight deck.

Flying 'roos huh? Where do they keep their tail whilst in the cockpit seat???? :?

John, First off- sorry about the kirt thing. Second thing-I remember that ad. Just like a lot of things down here-- weird
And now for a bit of trivia-- Queensland and Northern Territory Air Service first started in Longreach (central Queensland) back in the 1920's.
Cheers
