:o Goodman MO. on 71 S. South of Joplin, although the new highway goes around most of it. My sister got hit hard.

Also on Highway 54 west of Fort Scott Kansas. Town of Bronson used to have a sign up said "beware speed trap ahead." I think some judge made the city put up the bill board. Goes from 65mph to 40. You come around a curve, with the town clearly visible and a 65 speed limit sign then as you change curve direction, Wham---40.

I took the curve thinking I had entered town and automaticly slowed down. As I took the second curve I saw a beautiful black SUV with 100 antennas. 8) Nan na Na Nan na. :R

He almost got me crusin 75 on the highway. I don't do that anymore.

Here is a site that might help when making plans for a trip.

Cincinnati, Ohio Trap:

I-71 NB from downtown all the way to Ridge Road exit 8ABC&D.

Laser mainly, but helicopter timed road marks, multiple band radar, AND unmarked (well, it is marked, but in only 1/2" letters down at the bottom of the doors) pace cars. Also police video cammed.

Pursuit cars: Cinti police, OH troopers and I don't know who has the unmarked 2006 Fire Engine Red Mustand pace car, but it BOOKS up the highway...

BTW, not only speed enforcement, but seat belt enforcement, child seat enforcement, proof-of-insurance, and vehicle safety inspection...

One woman in a Hummer was doing 90, abrupt lane changes no signal, no belt, two kids no safety seat or belts, burned out tail lamp, and left her license and insurance card at home...

The television video of her stomping her feet in stilleto heels was funny - She broke both heels... and screamed at the TV crew, and also the cops... then she stated that she was "entrapped" just so a TV news crew could have a news story!!!

There are several places on 301 in FL. About 25 miles north of waldo is Lawty. I guess it still is a speed trap. Back in the 60s and 70s, it was notorious. They had a cop the truckers called the Silver Bullet due to the color of the car he drove. He's gone now, but the area should be considered a "carefule driver" location. The cops in Starke, between Waldo and Lawty are quick on the trigger as well.

If you drive through my area, Rt. 17/92 near Winter Haven, be careful driving through both Lake Alfred and Auburndale.

Sometimes I pretend to be normal. But, that gets boring...so I go back to being me.
