MJ, Mike & SteveT, thanks for showing some interest in this giant. and thanks for the "helluva tear!!!" comment, but I really like the “gonna be” comment, Yeah!!!!! Its Gonna Be! Someday!
Although it will be oversized, I did want to stay with the traditional look and feel of a teardrop. I just couldn’t see putting in all the work to be cramped for space. Most of the winter I should be using the tear to spend nights at the local ski resort, thus the full time cushion bench in the front of the tear.
SteveT, as far as the dimensions go I’ll list some, please note, these are INSIDE dimensions, not outside.
Galley: 32’ deep by 5’2” wide
Sleeping/couch area Floor 4’8” by 9’2” (height is about 46")
Nose will add about 1’ foot of additional storage or reclining space to the front
The Galley extends past the end of the frame about 8”
Storage under the floor: 6’ by 4’ by 1’ (Three compartments, which is approximately 24 cubic feet)
Total width of the trailer matches that of the tow rig.
(I wanted to be able to use standard side mirrors to see what was behind me)
