Hey Ya'll,
I have 2 dutch ovens my big one I could do baked beans, and in my smaller one I could make a cobbler. We look forward to camping with you all, and getting to know some fellow TD campers.

As far as potluck goes, I'll bring a couple of watermelons. If the burn bans off, I might just do some of my fabulous smoked pork chops!!

I plan on hiking. I agree with you Karol about sitting around in the lawn chair after dinner.

I'm excited!

Fraid I'm not going to make it. I found out last week my daughter and family are coming up from Houston. All family members must be present that weekend. Maybe next time. :(

So sorry about those that can't make it... we'll meet again some other time.

Gary & Trudy --- come on down !!! That park doesn't take reservations, but the guy pretty much promised me that we'd have the place to ourselves. Since it's two weeks after Labor Day. I'm going to call him again today and make sure. He was pretty reassuring that there is hardly any campers after Labor Day, said we might pretty much have it to ourselves.

Phil & Donna ... we'lll see ya there! Me, Todah and Karol will figure out if we're going to arrive together. Beans sounds good, you and Trudy can do a DO challenge with the cobbler.

I'll check about the burn ban too. We got lots of rain this weekend, and not sure it that county there at the lake is under the ban. But it could all change in two weeks.

Turkey, beans, Miriam's sumthin salad, cobbler, watermelon, me=banana pudding? not sure yet.
Anything good at a campout!!!

Julie

I heard on the weather report tonight that all of Oklahoma counties are under a burn ban. Maybe we will get some good rain between now and the camp out.

Okay everybody else...

Since they don't take reservations ....if any of you would like to send me the $ for the Grand Lake weekend, then I will call first thing that morning and pay for you and they will mark the site "occupied" for you. I don't have anything with the specific site numbers, but will make sure she puts us all together and in the shadier spots. The secretary Sherry and the park manager Robert have both been very helpful! Sherry said since school started two weeks ago, Bernice Park has been very 'slow' so she thinks it will be pretty empty on the 15th.

The fee is $18 per night, $16 for seniors (age 62). And let me know what time of day/evening you might be getting there and your full name. I plan on getting there around noon. If you want to call yourself, call after 8:30 that morning, you can give Sherry your credit card number. Phone 918-786-9447

You can PayPal the money to me at [email protected]

Or mail it to ...well PM me for the address...

I'm getting excited !!!! Planning on getting alot done this long weekend, and the weather is cooling down ! We're back in the 80s !!!!

Julie

Julie-
What time are you leaving OKC? Are you still meeting up with Todah Tear? OKC is out of the way for me, but could catch up with you in Wellston or Stroud? Wellston has a McDonald's that is accessible from the turnpike I believe. (I'll check on that.) We would love to convoy with both of you!

Well it's getting close and I hope you all have a good time. I'll be busy working in the shop getting ready for my OKC show. (Hey Julie, come see me this time. I won't have a teardrop as a cargo trailer this time though as my sister won't be going with me. So I have to somehow get everything into my cargo trailer)
Anyways you guys have fun.....

jplock,
What time are you planning on going? I won't be leaving until after I get off work either. Unfortunetly, I will have to take the "other" trailer as the teardrop won't be finished in time. :(

Thanks!
