I'll be putting brakes on my teardrop this weekend and staying away from the Labor Day crowds. Taking the tear out in two weeks though. Danny

I'm at home as well. Labor day is pretty much the end of camping season up here so I'm getting the trailer ready to go into storage. I'm also getting my yard ready for winter and trying to find the inside of my garage so that I can park the car in it.

I'm not, but I'm hoping to make lots of progress on the teardrop!

We have been wanting to take our tear out for the first time for some time now. Thought we'd get the chance yesterday.....got everything packed, and something came up so we unpacked everything. Got up this morning and figured we leave early today and still have time . Got everything packed.....loaded the firewood in the truck.....pulled the truck forward so we could hook to the tear.....got out......noticed coolant on the pavement under the truck......dang water pump went out..........unloaded the firewood.....unpacked everything......AGAIN!!!!!! came in and pouted for a while , then decided to throw some ribs on the pit  At least we can pretend we campin and eat good lol.....oh well, maybe next weekend.......

Since I have always been self employed, and am now retired, I usually stay home big weekends, and go the next.

Portland next weekend -- with the tear.

We're camping at Brazos Bend State park, we're just staying for one night. We'll be camping light, only bringing a few things and not getting much out at the campground. We are going to Houston the following day to check out the Body Worlds exhibit.

Some would call it gruesome but it looks interesting.

Mary K,

Whatta ya mean, get a life? I'd say you're in pretty good company here. I'm working on a new project this weekend between rain showers. Restoring an old beat up square stearn canoe I found sunk in the San Sabastian River. Anyone ever hear of a Gheenoe? Here's a before picture.

We are not "summer" campers and don't like to fight the crowds on holiday weekends (except Thanksgiving and Christmas is nice because everyone else is home!). Plus our T@B is at the dealer getting warranty work done. So we are just waiting for it to cool off, and hoping we get our T@B back and talk the hubby into joining the North AL campout.

So for Labor Day we are just hanging around tghe house, going to BBQ at a friend's tomorrow, and just playing with our five dogs the rest of the time :)

Just sitting here trying to convince myself that this weekend it will finally look like a teardrop. Now, I know that I've said that before (maybe not out loud), but I think that this time I'm positive that I think I mean it.

We just got back from our vacation Tuesday, so need to get caught upon things, although we would rather be camping. :(

Hopefully I'll get some work done on the tear tomorrow. We are going to try to get it done and go to the Colorado campout the end of this month.
