Portland next weekend -- with the tear.

We decided to wait till next week to avoid the crowds.
Dave, We'll ne at Ainsworth State Park ( http://www.oregonstateparks.org/park_146.php ) next weekend. It's about 20 miles east of Portland right off I-84.

Not us either. For Cathy, it's near the end of the camping season. I'm with Cheryl and Randall. For the deep South, it's getting near the beginning of the camping season as it's just too ganged hot in the Summer. Unless, that is, we want to drive north to the mountains somewhere where it's cooler. Besides, I don't like to fight the crowds on the big holiday weekends either.

I'm not going anywhere either - and probably not working on the Ugly Parasite much while I'm at it.

Probably gonna scrape what seeped out from the seam sealing last week, and then call it a day.

Then, clean out the interior and at least sleep in the darned thing one night.

Hey Madjack, I don't remember the rules: is "camping" in my driveway qualify for the contest?

Not me. Just hunkered down yesterday and read the latest Laurie R. King mystery, "The Art of Detection," as the rain kept falling... and falling...

After it finally stopped last night we had received about 8" according to my rain gauge. Not as bad as other places, but for the northern Shenandoah Valley, that's quite a lot!

I have next Friday off, so I may go next weekend. There's plenty of trout out there that haven't seen what's in my fly wallet!

Well Kristi, that certainly is a good looking dog when he's not got a toy frog hanging out his mouth
I'm glad you have him, instead of someone who wouldn't take care of him.
here's a pic of the dog I saved from a certain death..he was running up the road in Uvalda Ga., I stopped to get him off the road, and 4 log trucks come thundering by..so his name is Roadie. I found him as a puppy.Image

No camping for me, either. I am usually found on a river in the Ozarks somewhere but this year I was at the home opening game of the University of Oklahoma Sooners!!!!!! The Sooners won (burly) and I had a great time!!

On the way home, my girlfriend spotted a semi trailer full of T@B's heading South on I-35 toward Wichita, KS. She scared the crap out of me when she saw them coming toward us!!!! She said, "OMG!! Look at that!!! A whole trailer full of campers!!!"

Hoo hoooooooo.......... she's hooked........ . My plan is coming together nicely.............

..so his name is Roadie

Jim, Roadie is a handsome boy (and I love his name)! He's a lucky pup to have found a home. :)

I saved her from a puppy farm in NC, she had the mange and about 8lb under weight.

Smartest Damned dog I've ever had, and like a crack addict for the ball.

Woo hoo, puppy pics! Chloe and Cori are cuties! :)
Here's the rest of my motley crew...all rescue babies...they keep me sane when they're not driving me INsane, LOL:

Darby, 12yr old LabX...the love of my life:

Cooper, 3yr old terrierX, the wild child:

Willow, 5-7yr old Chihuahua, the reigning queen of the household:

Oz usually camps with me these days, he's a big baby and hates to be away from his mommy. Darby and I camped together for 10+ years, but he's decided to be a homebody the past year (unless he sees the canoe, then he's off the couch and ready to go, LOL).

I'm not camping with the TD, but I've got some sealing to do on it, though.

I've been pretty busy this weekend so far. My back and shoulders are hurten' though. I had a 50' Hackbetty tree cut down on Fri. To save money, they took away the 'branch' limbs and left me the larger pieces. I took 2 loads already to an orv park. Hit a deer Friday night. Deer had to be killed.
