Yeah, like the beach...Except that red color on your skin isn't sunburn, but rather, frostbite!!

I used to do a Klondike-Derby every winter when I was in the Explorers..We dug a hole in the show, large enough to pitch a tent. After we got in the tent, pretty warm! Funny, the "Leaders" hung out in a camper :?

I've been pretty busy this weekend so far. My back and shoulders are hurten' though. I had a 50' Hackbetty tree cut down on Fri. To save money, they took away the 'branch' limbs and left me the larger pieces. I took 2 loads already to an orv park. Hit a deer Friday night. Deer had to be killed.

Did you get to keep the deer? ;)

Snow? That's the stuff that sends the Snow Birds flocking to Florida. That means more traffic.

My Labor Day was spend doing some labor. I finished edging my lawn that I started a couple of days ago, and picking up my bug deflector that was ordered thru Advance Auto Parts and installing it. That was easy. Four plastic clips to remove, four bolts to screw in and 10 minutes later it was on. Now, I'm just waiting for my cap to arrive at TruckMasters.

I wasn't expeienced with large game either, but I learned fast. I put two in the freezer that way in Maryland. Luckily, it was winter both times and I got them home quickly, so there was no chance of spoilage.

No camping, trying to buckle down and work on the Jewel Box!!!

Looks like a lot of people got rain this weekend, we did - all weekend so camping in a teardrop would've been better than a tent!!!

I did get some work done, and the b/f helped . Too rainy to go get the roof materials, but the skies are clear today so ....

I"m afraid the Jewel Box will look pretty bare for Grand Lake, but hopefully she'll make the trip anyway - hatch or no hatch !!! hahahaa

You teardroppers are so understanding!!!

I'm not camping or working on the trailer. I have been home recovering from surgery so I can't do too much of anything. It would have been perfect for camping here, mid to high 70s during the day and 60s at night. A beautiful weekend to be sure. We'll be making the maiden voyage in the KC Clipper in the next two or three weeks. It won't be anywhere near finished but it will be liveable.

Wife wanted to see Body Worlds in Houston so we figured we'd stay the night. We decided to camp for the night instead of getting a motel. The park was nice, everybody wanted a tour, even the rangers.

I brought the wrong camera into the exhibit, they didn't allow pictures. Had I brought my small one, I probably could have shot some covert pics as we were leaving.

Other than the fact that it was CROWDED, it was interesting. When you typically see human organs, you don't get a reference as to where it positioned in the body. The "Plastiscenes" were pretty cool, the one of the guy on top of the horse is pretty amazing.

They also had some sculptures? that showed the blood vessels. They injected a polymer into the blood vessels of a hand, foot, skull then removed everything else leaving just the blood vessels. You could see all the intricate vessels and how they were routed.

We didn't see what all the controversy was all about. One or two of the "Plastiscenes" were a bit over the top but the rest were pretty informational. That last weekend the exhibit was open 24 hours a day. We were initially contemplating going in the middle of the night but nixed the idea. In retrospect, we should have done it because it was just too crowded when we did go.
