On Public Broadcasting System (PBS) Tonight @ 9:00 PM PST 9/6/06 there will be a showing of Horatio's First Road trip across the USA. It is a most interesting recreation of the first car to go across the country. This effort caught the imagination of this country. Made by Ken Burns it is very well done. If you don't get to see it tonight you should check out on your PBS station when it will be on and catch an airing.

I've seen it previously and would recommend it as well...the contrast of the country then and now is amazing...it will give you a whole new take on complaining about such things as bad roads, dirty restrooms, crummy motels, greasy spoons and all the things we grumble about on a modern trip......
