Doors

Postby steve wolverton » Fri Nov 26, 2004 2:21 am

Hey Guys,

I did a search on feed doors in the forum, and I didn't get quite enough info - so I thought I'd toss this out and solicit some feedback.

I'm thinking of purchasing some feed doors for my teardrop. Here's a link of some that caught my eye: (the first one shown)

I have an email out about size, price, and weight of the units. Any thoughts?

Those are some nice windows and doors. Like Ryan says, I like the ones without the bars, I don't think I need them............yet!

Can you post the info when you get it?

If a bear wants in, some little bars arent going to stop it. It will just go thru your tear. I have seen it happen. bye

Steve,

Please let us know what you find out about size and price. Looks like a good idea to me if they are usable in a tear.

Hey Guys,

The bars are removeable. I'm not too concerned with bears in this part of the world.

It sure looks like the same type of doors that they use on the Little Guy trailers.

http://www.teardroptrailersexpress.com/factory.php

I need to fire off some emails to the Little Guy people in this forum and see if I can get some door info from them.

SteveH - I'll post the price/sizing info when I receive it. I'm preparing myself for sticker shock at the moment - so I'm pretty heavily liquored up here. :P

Steve,
So.Cal Tears has sells a window that they use on their trailers. It's 18x20 and about $90 ea. I had purchased windows from TJ's (also horse trailer windows). They will work fine, but I am giong to order the larger So. Cal windows. Yet another do-over. http://www.socalteardrops.com/

Norm - Won't work for me...too small. I'm looking for a window/door unit that's all in one. The ideal size for my setup is 24 x 30, but I'd go a little larger if needed. I doubt the ones I'm looking at will be anywhere near what I want to pay ($150 per) so we'll probably just go with what we've got now. Thanks.

Steve,

Take a look at the last item on this page: http://www.tjtrailers.com/store/trailer ... .html#3304

I think that is what you are looking for, but it's a liitle more than $150.

SteveH - Yup, that's what we're looking for. I'm going to wait for these other guys to write me back with their pricing/weight/sizes and then decide what to do. Thanks for that link.
