Hello all!
I got a bit more done on the Lil'Diner. I made up a jig and got the wall framing started. I have the curbside framing done, just have to trim with the router. Streetside will get started tommorow.

Steve the furring is looking good. And I see you have wax paper under the furring, so you're obviously not gluing the furring to "that" piece of plywood in the photo. So what are you driving the screws through? A spare template?

Everytime I see a pic of your woodie, I wonder how you got the stripes in the sides. Is that paint, or did you cut a groove into the plywood with a router, then fill it with something?

That's done with a router. I cut 1/4" grooves in the panel, using a pattern. I flipped the pattern, routed again. I filled the grooves with 1/4" strips of Mahagony and Ash.
Cut the grooves..

Fill in the grooves..

I sealed everything in 'glass/epoxy.

That's a template. I'll assemble the furring for the twins on it, then use it over and over again, in smaller pieces, as a pattern for other components. A good use for a couple sheets of ply I had laying around!

Here's the framing after a few minutes with the router. The twin curbside wall is on the jig in the foreground. I'll do both streetside walls this week.
