I HATE LOVEBUGS!

Postby surveytech » Mon Oct 02, 2006 10:47 am

Been doing a little work on the trailer the last couple of weekends and the Rimple seems to be a lovebug magnet!

Anything white and in the shade was covered with the little suckers.
I actually had to spray the sides of the trailer with OFF to get them to go away. They were all over the inside of the trailer as well.

I have never seen them this bad before.

Does it begin with an "F?" Cause I say let's use THAT name instead.

The little "Red Headed "F" Bugs have been mysteriously absent in Planterville this Fall Season. They are usually so bad that I have to clean the windshileld on the truck twice a day but nothing so far this Fall. I do not miss the little B@&^@rds though..........

They dont bite, they dont sting but they DO suck. Just very very annoying.

This past spring we hardly had any lovebugs. The weather was so dry that the state parks had fire bans for about a month. However conditions now are way different. We have been getting timely rains this summer that have kept my lawn on a 5 day mowing cycle. (I HATE mowing grass anymore).
And the love bugs seem to be thriving.
Never seen them this thick.

surveytech... Yeah, we sure got 'em up here. I ride a motorcycle a lot... and they taste NASTY. For longer rides I been thinking about just spraying myself down with PAM. It works for cars. Thank goodness I think they are finally beginning to peter out up here (pun intended). :?

Brick,
The bike riders here have been wearing dust masks when they ride.
I saw one guy without the mask and he rode with his hand over his mouth.
Kinda funny to see that coming down the street. A one handed crotch rocket.

You anywhere near Fanning Springs?

Walter... I'm not too far from it. I am in the middle of a bunch of springs around here. I think it's about 30 miles.
