Ya know....I've been following this thread for quite a while....and now I have a pretty good idea of what some of you may have been going through with all the talk prior to the IRG in the Redwoods...It's a 2K haul for me, 1 way, but other issues are pressing right now...however I certainly will be there in spirit, I hope you all have great weather and a fantastic time...with the group that is going, I don't see how that isn't possible, I look at the campground map all the time and watch it grow....Jack really pulled a 'possum out of his pouch to make this come together like it has in the time frame given...   I have gathering envy  Doug

Doug, we will always remember our trip to IRG, hopefully you can make it down to our neck of the woods sometime. I can't imagine how difficult it is as a small buisness owner, to "take a few weeks off".

I think the way this one kinda exploded is a testament to how badly we needed a gathering here. I was thinking about planning one if nothing else happened. Whew! thanks MJ I dodged that bullet.

If Minden happens next year, we will be there. If not, we hope to make it to a gathering in the NorthEast.

Rocky...the thing that bugs me is that there are a group of people that I've met before and a lot of others that I've communicated with on the forum and through phone calls that I'd like to meet and see again...and a whole lot of people I've never met and would like to....have some eats with and share a beverage...and you all are going camping!!!!!! Damn.... :( It's probably better that I'm not going...Jack would want my "chefs" pants..since he's doing some cookin'.....Doug

Hey Ya'll,
I will make a train wreck in my dutch oven for that Saturday breakfast. Some people call it a mountain man breakfast. The more dutch ovens the better.
jplock :) :) :) :)
Keep smiling!

Doug, I can't tell ya how much we would love to see ya down this way but knowing what the "pressing" issues are, I can understand why you can't...I know you will be there in spirit and accept that is the way of things...from across country we will all just have to raise a glass in cheer to each other.....

p.s....don't worry, I wouldn't steal your "chef" pants...unless they had flames on 'em...we cook pretty hot down thisaway ya know :D  ;)

Phil
You know Trudy is always up for the breakfast DO thing. So we have breakfast, brunch, chili for lunch, than there always big eats at dinner. Sounds like it ain't gonna be a place to lose weight. Sorta like camping with my oldest son who loves to cook and does it continuely when he camps. You just finish eaten one thing and he has the next started.

Gary
Where ever we raise the hatch is home.
Darn blank states keep getting further away and we keep traveling slower ain't never gona get this map full.

Thats one of the best things about camping Gary. Food is never so good as cooked outside at a campsite. Come to think of it........everything is better when ya camping......right?
