echoechoechoing Woody on the coolers...I too have both Igloo and coleman extreme coolers and find the Igloo to be much superior to the Coleman...like he said...it's the lid that seems to be so much better...also agree about the tables and straps.......

Woody, mentioning those pesky coons, brought back memories. When I was tent camping in the Ocala National Forest many years ago, they'd get on the table and go through all the pots and pans looking for snacks. I'd run them off, but they'd only go as far as the nearest palmetto bush to hide under and peek out.

IGLOO extreme. Got it. I knew one was better than the other, but I forgot which.

I have enough ratchet tie-downs to choke a horse to keep the coolers closed.

Still gonna get that little cooking station for 60 bucks. I have ENOUGH to do right now without building sidetables connected to the TD.

I suppose the camp site will have a picnic table...that's all I'll need. I may get a canopy to put over it. We're not planning on a lot of heavy cooking. The wife says getting out of the house means getting away from the kitchen. I'll have the grill and she says that's mine to use, not hers.

As for Saturday Potluck dinner. I will be bringing a deep fryer to do some turkeys for dinner. If ayone wants to cook with it while it is going let me know. Also if anyone is allergic to peanut oil let me know right away also. Since I am a novice with DO's, however those who are good at it, this might be the time to show all of us what you can do. So everyone bring a cover dish of sorts for Saturday dinner and the festivities. Looking foward to this one as always. Do we have an updated list of campsites with names yet?.

Site 133 will be occupied by Rusty and family. He will be joining the group as a future builder of a 2+2 style teardrop in the near future. The teardrop community grows and grows. (Bitten by the bug)

I make a pretty mean dish, but I'm not sure how it will go with the turkey. I call it hamburger beans. It's more than just a baked bean dish, and more flavorable. It can be used as a main dish, but, I've taken it to lots of pot lucks and no one complained that it didn't go with the main entree. When I was working, everyone wanted me to make it for the pot lucks we had there. A DO is what I need to do it camping. I think my Dad had a DO. I'll check at the house as I'll probably be going up there before Anastasia to help my Sis clean up junk and haul it to the dump. We haven't decided whether to sell the place or fix it up and rent it.

I updated my Coquina Loop Map. Any more coming that's not on it?

I'm coming, but all the sites are booked, so I'll have to take what I can get when I get there...because Woody didn't reserve me a spot like his wife told him too.. :(

Jim
I swear that I don't recall that conversation. If you and her talked about it I wasn't there or part of it. I asked her about it and she doesn't remember it either. Of course alcohol could have played a major role in her memory lapse, I know it did mine, I am sorry you could have reminded me of this earlier after Virgina. Beware of her and that shot glass as "Tailgate Todd" found out only after arriving three hours earlier. Oh yea he was TOAST
YEAH TOAST

I hear that 122, next to me, is reserved by some Playboy Playmates.

The bidding starts at $500...

If my wife thought I was visiting some Playboy Playmates, $500 wouldn't start to pay my medical bills.

Ira, like I said before, don't be concerned with having it perfect. Fix the problem items, get it usable, and hit the highway.

I'm still putting on the finishing touches, and finding things to fix. I have a joint in my cargo door skin where I used two pieces of plywood, trying to not to buy more. That joint has been fixed twice, and still cracked open again. I'll have to take the door off and try once more to seal that joint permanently. Yesterday, I made a custom fitted sheet for my odd sized bed (larger than full, smaller than queen) and tomorrow I'm hoping to find suitable fabric to use to make the curtains. I still have to buy containers to use in the cabinets to hold linens, clothes, and galley items.

Dale, I'm definitely not going to worry about it being finished.

My galley configuration is perfect for storage--I have a ton of room for cooking and other stuff. For now I'm sleeping in a sleeping bag. And for 2 nights, all of my clothes will fit in a small duffle bag.

I just hope it doesn't rain for the drive up there or back.

Ira,
The time is getting closer to get ready to go. If ya need help just ask and buy some Saran Wrap. The stuff works great for leaks if it rains for a quik fix if ya have a leak
