Wiring Placement Question

Do most run their wire in the top? Today I got to work on my floor. It got to going so good I finished the floor. Problem is I was thinking about running wires under the floor. Now I guess the roof would be O.K. Might be better in the top anyway. Thanks John

I ran all mine up and over. I mean through the roof and down the back into the galley and hatch. Make drawings before covering up. For screw and nail placement.

If you would like access to your wires after you have completed your build you could do it this way.
You'll need to make some molding that is hollowed out on the back.

When completed it will look like this and all you need to do is remove a few beauty screws to access your wires. Since completing my tear I have added 2 more circuts in that area and it was so easy to do. Danny

We started doing our wiring and its aslo up and over .... with the mouldings to cover the wiring...

My tear has no inner ceiling, so I routed the wiring on top of the 2x2's on the floor, along the walls. I made a small channel from molding strips to conceal the wires. The molding is attached with small brads only, no glue, so I can pry it up if I need to get to the wiring. It works!
