Thank you Brick,
Treated pine isn't a good idea cause my sinuses hate to saw it.

There are no normal stud 2x4's in this town that will hold a screw if the wind gets under this. Honestly, they split.
It rained all day so I can't get this outside to work on it soooooo
I figured if I had the hinge in hand this might be easier sooooooo--------
I spent the day trying to get a hinge. Fastenall waisted 15 minutes of my day (plus the drive there and back) asking what a 1/2" knuckle was and if the gauge was going to do it. (1/4 pin). No he wasn't the young kid. And I'm not in the habit of accusing guys of jerking a woman around butttttt. He must just be in the wrong business.
Then the other guy who watched the whole thing finally said they couldn't call the hub or the manufacturer to get one long enough. I left!!! One customer lost forever. It was the attitude.
Going to Granger's tomorrow. I'd call but they have a reputation of blowing people off if you don't have a part number I guess if they wanna play I can call Monroe back and pay shipping.
Stainless Steel /w 1/4 pin is $32 + $20 shipping. The 1/8 pin is only $18 but the shipping is still $20. Maybe I should have asked where it was shipped from.
