I guess Cindy and I will try for site # 120 on Thursday. If there are no sites left when we get there, we will go to plan B - which might be in one of my cousin's backyard ! :)

Even if none are available in Coquina loop, some may be available in other loops. I hope you can get one with us.

Yeah, but I'll be driving 30 miles an hour. And I'll probably hit a dead raccoon and roll the TD over 13 miles away from getting there.

By the way:

If someone can't get a site, do the site police there bust your balls if you let someone squeeze into your same site?

Ira, what you have to watch out for is traffic pile-ups when someone suddenly hits their brakes at 85 mph to take a pic of that very unique trailer. I'll bet it'll draw a lot of attention on I-95.

Oy...

How far can I stay on the Turnpike before having to get on 95? I wouldn't even mind going further WEST to minimize the 95 experience.

It's getting near the time of the year when all of the New York Jews start heading down here on 95.

I'm one myself, so that's enough for me.

That's the good news, Ira. The snowbirds will be in the other lanes, going the opposite direction.
:)
Now, coming home...that's a different situation.
If you think I-95 is bad, you should try driving on I-75 around Ocala. Now, that's a major headache.
:x
The Pike could be driven as far north as Ft. Pierce. Or, you could start out at 2AM and drive US 1 You might get to Anastasia by 2PM.

Ira,
When we go we take the turnpike up to Jupiter or sometimes Ft. Pierce then cut over to I-95. Then the same thing in reverse on the way home. It saves alot of time by avoiding most of the heavier traffic on I-95 in Palm Beach county and northern Broward

Not the way THEY drive:

They'll be going southbound in the NORTHBOUND lanes.

Watch your tongues........I'm one of those :snow birds coming to the event. Besides, we only come down there to tie up the traffic and increase the cost of tipping in the eatries.

Its OK. come to florida, spend your money and pay our taxes.

But remember.........when you drive through Georgia and South Carolina make sure you go like a bat out of hell. But once you cross the Florida line you cant go over 35mph no matter where you are. And be sure to point at a lot of stuff too while in the car.
