when fifteen people reiterate "Good job!", "Great work!", etc. every time someone posts a picture of the last screw he drove. Rant over.

Being fairly new here and still in the build stage. I for one like the good jobs and great works, it helps to keep me motivated. And it's fun to show off my work It's not the greatest so any adaboy I can get is welcome.

Yes - that is a reason I like this forum - there are tons of pictures - and you are correct - not nearly as many pics on Airstream Forums - those of us who are building/rebuilding are the one's that post the pictures.

I in no way meant to offend anyone, nor did I mean that you must speak up if you are lurking about taking things in, by all means hang around and do just that if you like.
My point is with 2k folks registered and not saying anything at all, not even just to say hi seems like you all just need a little encouragement to speak up and maybe get a project of your own started or show us what you already have going/finished.
Like i said, new ideas are always welcome. They may get run through the wringer a few times, after all, not all ideas are great but that don't mean something you have in mind isn't possible, might be there are just better ways of doing it. Who knows, you might just have one of those really good idears bottled up in there that may just save somebody some time, work or money.

It really shows the various personalities we have around our little bit of cyber space.

To all those out there who are thinking "What can I add to this?" That is exactly how we all started out.
Come on over, sit down and chew the fat a bit You'll be surprised how we appreciate it.
