Floor Assembly Finished

Postby SkipperSue » Sun Oct 29, 2006 2:38 pm

I got the floor assembly done at last. I had to wait for the side that will be on the inside of the trailer to dry, the cold weather snap prolonged this.

Here the insulation is cut to size and installed, silver side to the elements.

A bottom plywood skin is installed next, I used my finish air stapler to attach it. I've had this stapler for almost 5 years and this is the first time I've used it! ;)

The roofing tar goes on next. It was cold last night so this stuff was really thick! :?

I thought I'd share the view of Table Rock mountain, this is from my side porch.

Sure looks like great progress and well documented.

Yeah, it is looking good. How'd you like that sticky roof tar business. It takes forever to dry to the touch. Keep up the good work.

Watching roof tar dry is more fun in the summer. When I was doing this one, one end was dry to the touch before I got to the other end. I still let it set overnight though. The next morning it was flipped over, and the building started! :o
