Dear Chris,
I'm glad you changed your mind and decided to share your build pics with everyone, instead of just a select few... It's beautiful.
I hope you have changed your view on going to gatherings too... They are a lot of fun.

Chris,

I second everything that was already said! It's one beautiful teardrop!! I reminds me of a combination of a CampInn and the LilDiner teardrops. Was that what you were shooting for??

Not about, but the way you chose to leave. I guess the first thing to go when you get old is your memory.

Chris, I was about to argue with your thread title, until I read in your post that it wasn't really finished yet. That's because, if you're like most of us, it will never be finished. There's always something to add.

BTW...that's as classy a piece of woodworking as I've seen. Beautiful!!!

First, I want to compliment Chris on one BEAUTIFUL teardrop, his attention to detail is fantastic.  :applause:
Now, about the "controversy", I don't know all the details involved with Chris' departure from the forum, nor does it really matter in the grand scheme of things. Whatever the cause, can we please get past it and move on. The issue was debated ad nauseum, let it go already... I hope Chris decides to come back to the board as a regular member, he clearly has a lot of experience and expertise that would greatly benefit the forum.
For the forum to continue down the path that pushed Chris out the door the first time will do nothing but give the forum a black eye.
If Chris does decided to return, I vote for giving him that chance.

By the way Its not always memory 1st to go...

And thus far no one has stayed young forever..so until the Fountain Of Youth is discovered... It will be that All will get older..

Or am I wrong to say...
