Gage for a longtime now Ive been wondering who you remind me of..
Instead of a Pot Stirrer...

Its a film from 1993... Starring Walter Matthau and Jack Lemon named
Grumpy Old Men... Great Film to watch in a Teardrop.

I believe you and Walter Mathau have a resemblance...in appearance and character    That Movie I think will explain what or who goes first ... ;)

Sorry Chris this thread was about your beautifully done tear...back to you

First, I want to compliment Chris on one BEAUTIFUL teardrop, his attention to detail is fantastic.
Now, about the "controversy", I don't know all the details involved with Chris' departure from the forum, nor does it really matter in the grand scheme of things. Whatever the cause, can we please get past it and move on. The issue was debated ad nauseum, let it go already... I hope Chris decides to come back to the board as a regular member, he clearly has a lot of experience and expertise that would greatly benefit the forum.
For the forum to continue down the path that pushed Chris out the door the first time will do nothing but give the forum a black eye.
If Chris does decided to return, I vote for giving him that chance.

I guess this so called "controversy" was before my time? I will have to heartly agree with the above quote... You are a masterful woodworker & craftsman and I'm sure you would be welcome here. You certainly have much expertise to offer if you are so willing. I have been a woodworker for 45+ years, and I know I could learn a few things from you. If there are any naysayers I politely suggest they hold their tongue. I think you would be a valuable contributor and asset to many who frequent this forum... Please stick around! :applause:

And, of course, I think your tear is magnificent. Beautiful job indeed.

The difference between me and Mathau is he had Ann Margrit to play with. And me, well I could only wish to have Ann Margrit to play with. ;)

As for a beautifully done tear. I couldn't say. I haven't seen it and have no plans to see it. But I haven't seen any more beautifull than Doug's.

The scenery out there is magnificent, too! I don't think I would ride that train with the scary dropoff, though! :NC

I don't know how you would know which build was "best." Don't know that it matters.

A grade of A is hard to come by (and should be)

Most of us would do well to make it to Grade B or B minus.

This is an A. No question. Congrats Chris.
