Hi Rebel
I used I group 24 deep cycle battery and a 45 amp RV converter/charger. The tear has 12v wired to all the lights , 2 "cigar" type outlets and the Fantastic fan. the 110v is wired from a 110v male marine plug on the tongue, back to a fault interrupt outlet in the galley. The microwave and converter plug in to it and the 110v outlets in the cabin and the galley are wired to it. so far every thing seems to work great.
with just the fan and lights, the battery will last thru a long week end of camping just fine, I carry a Honda EU2000 generator to run the 110 (microwave, toaster, wifes hair dryer etc. and charge the battery during longer campouts.
As for recommendations, I would say use a good converter/ charger and keep the battery a group 24 or smaller to keep the weight down. You can't beat the fantastic fans. most tears have limited window opening area and those fans move enough air to keep it "fresh" inside, and most models are reversible.
The difficult we do now... the impossible takes a little longer
